The Astrup Fearnley Museum

The Astrup Fearnley Museum for Modern Art is a private collection situated in Kvadraturen on the east side of the fortress Akershus Festning. The museum opened in October 1993 and with shifting exhibitions shows international and Norwegian visual art from the post-war period until the present day. The exhibited artworks come from the museum's collections with additional works on loan for special exhibitions.
